Cloud SQL

Use managed MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server for compatible applications that value familiar engines, managed operations, high availability, and straightforward integration.

AlloyDB for PostgreSQL

Evaluate AlloyDB for demanding PostgreSQL-compatible transactional and analytical workloads, including applications that need performance and vector search capabilities.

Spanner

Use Spanner when an application genuinely requires relational consistency with horizontal scale and multi-region availability—not as a default target for every database.
